Helping with a happy heart...

Hannah loves to help wash the dishes... This week she asked Nathan to put some Wee Sing Bible Songs on...
The rest is self-explanatory....

Happy as clams....

This afternoon we got a load of dirt to add to our garden... The girls helped off-load the dirt from the truck; well, Hannah did. Sarah sat in the dirt with her "poon" (shovel), "ork" (rake), and "ol" (pot), playing happily. Once all the dirt had been moved to the garden, the girls weren't quite done playing, so I told them it would be okay if they sat in the garden and played a bit more...
Well, when you don't have a sandbox, I guess dirt'll do!
When I realized what was going on, Hannah told me I'd better take a picture... So, here you are! Two little people, happy as clams!

Nathan was a little concerned about how dirty they were... but I say, dirty yes, happy, even better! They were thrilled to be allowed the priviledge of a mess! Who needs boys!?
Right after this, we went to the patio, stripped down to panties/diaper and went in to "hose off" in the bath!

Beach day....

On Good Friday we decided to spend some time at the coast. We went to a part of the beach that we've never been to - down at Siletz Bay. Hannah, of course, knew just what she wanted to do and was off!

Sarah wasn't as sure.... it took her a minute or two to decide if this 'sand' thing was a good idea!
Once she decide the sand wasn't too dirty, she wouldn'd leave it alone! She stopped every couple of steps to scoop up handfuls and shake them into the wind... if you look closely, you can see her footprints alternating with scoops!

The kids, yes all three of them, found a large stick to draw with.....

We also got to see a harbor seal pup on the beach. His mama had "parked" him while she went fishing. Just across the bay from here, there was a colony of 20-30 seals basking in the sun on the bank. Mama kept swimming by to be sure baby was obeying.... Girls were fascinated.
